Rajasthan, located on the western part of India, is the largest state in the country spread over an area of 342239 square kilometers. Rajasthan is a corridor between two prominent consumer markets of northern and western India, providing quick and low cost access to these markets.

Rajasthan has blended its reach and colorful age-old traditional textile industry with the latest technology savvy textile industry. Textile industry of Rajasthan has presence across entire textile value chain - from spinning to garments and made-ups. Bhilwara is the biggest centre for production of viscous and polyester textiles in India. Almost half of the India's PV suitings and yarn is contributed by Rajasthan. Pali, Balotra & Jodhpur are the renowned locations in the country for processing, dyeing and of low weight - low cost fabric. Jaipur has earned name for export of fashion garments. Rajasthan is a major producer of printed and died fabric for fashion garment industry and Rajasthani prints of Bagru and Sanganer have got international recognition. Khadi and hand woven Kota Doria are also gaining popularity among fashion designers. Made ups and textile handicrafts products of Rajasthan have found market across the globe. More than 2000 garment / textile handicrafts including made ups units are operational in Rajasthan.

Existing ecosystem for textile industry, nearness to prominent markets in India as well access to ports, peaceful and strife free labour environment, political stability, investor friendly attitude of the State government coupled with conducive and responsive investment climate makes Rajasthan a land of limitless business opportunities. Rajasthan has announced 'special customized package for Textile Sector Enterprises 2013'. Rajasthan, indeed, has emerged as the prime choice for manufacturing and trading.
